Independent School of the Year for Community Outreach – Entry Form
This award is for the school which most impresses the judges by the way in which it has made a decisive and positive contribution its local community in the past year. The judges will be looking for evidence of impact and would like to understand the nature, strength and sustainability of the partnerships which have been created.
The winning school will demonstrate a recognition of the importance of community outreach in its local area and will also be able to show evidence of the practical and positive impact that participation in the activities described has had on the life of the student community as a whole.
The entry should:
- Successfully communicate the core characteristics, energy, culture and benefits of the school’s community outreach programme as well as the structures and initiatives which underpin its delivery
- Explain how the student experience in the school has been enriched
- Demonstrate the sustainability and long term impact of the activities described on the wider life of the school community
