Green Award for Environmental Achievement – Entry Form
This award is for the school which most impresses the judges by the way in which it has made a decisive and positive contribution to the environment in addressing the challenges of climate change and associated issues i in the past year. This contribution can be within or beyond the school community itself.
The winning school will demonstrate a recognition of the importance of environmental action, with particular reference to climate change, to young people and will be able to show evidence of practical and positive impact that has made a demonstrable difference to its corner of the planet. The judges will be interested in both the originality of the initiatives described and the extent to which they can be rolled out more widely.
The entry should:
- Successfully communicate the core characteristics, energy, culture and benefits of the school’s environmental awareness programmes as well as the structures and initiatives which underpin its delivery
- Explain how the student experience in the school has been enriched
- Demonstrate the sustainability and long term impact of the activities described on the life of the school
