Overseas Campus of the Year – Entry Form
This award is for an Overseas Campus run by a British independent school. The winning school will be expected to successfully demonstrate the benefits which operating an overseas campus delivers to its students being educated in both the UK and overseas.
The judges will be interested to learn about the depth of the relationship between the UK student community and their peers overseas and understand how this is fostered and supported in order to promote shared values and greater cultural understanding alongside an uplift in the overall educational experience. They will also wish to hear about the wider benefits to the whole-school community, including, for example, in relation to both broadening staff experience through exchange programmes and securing and deploying additional revenues for the UK school operation.
For the purpose of this award, an overseas campus is defined as an overseas school operated directly or under licence by a UK independent school which is in membership with the ISC.
The entry should:
- Successfully communicate the core characteristics, energy, culture and values of the educational provision as well as the structures and initiatives which have allowed them expression.
- Explain how the student experience in both the overseas campus and the UK school has been enriched
- Demonstrate the sustainability and longer-term impact of the activities describe
These criteria have been developed in consultation with COBIS
