2019 Shortlist announced
Independent School Parent is pleased to reveal the schools that have been shortlisted in its awards programme, Independent Schools of the Year 2019. Now in their second year, we are delighted that the awards received such a fantastic response, and have surpassed the number of entries last year. Hundreds of schools have entered of different sizes and from across the country – from tiny, rural Pre-Preps to Senior Schools who are household names – having submitted entries in all 18 categories.
The aim of Independent Schools of the Year 2019 which is a fully independent awards scheme, was to highlight the quality of the student experience in independent schools, and on the evidence of all the submissions received, there is no doubt whatsoever that the independent schools sector in Britain is thriving. Transformative and innovative projects and programmes are underway from Scotland to Cornwall, and the judges have so enjoyed reading the schools’ stories.
The judges will be meeting again in the autumn to reach a decision on the winners and select highly commended schools from each category; the results of which will be announced in October.
Many congratulations to all of those who entered and to those shortlisted schools!
