Independent School of the Year for Best Use of Education Technology

Our judges would like to hear the story of how educational technology, including but not exclusively AI, has shaped your school during 2025–26. This is your opportunity to show why you’re proud of what you do and how technology has genuinely enhanced the experience of the students in your care. Bring your approach to life with examples and supporting evidence where it strengthens your case—but avoid presenting it as a checklist of tools or platforms. Above all, help us understand the bigger picture: if our judges were to walk through your school, how would they see educational technology woven naturally into everyday teaching and learning and the wider operation of the school and consequently contributing to the overall resilience of the community?

The questions below should guide your entry. Please keep the focus firmly on the role of educational technology rather than the wider story of the school.

  • What makes your use of educational technology, including AI, distinctive?
How does your approach set your school apart from others, and what have you achieved through thoughtful engagement with technology that makes your work worthy of this award? (Around 200 words.)
  • How has your use of educational technology in 2025–26 responded to particular needs?
How has it enhanced the learning experience of your students and increased their enjoyment of school life? (Around 150 words.)
  • What lasting benefits has educational technology brought to your students?
How has it equipped them with skills and confidence they can carry into adult life, and what tangible impact has your approach delivered? (Around 150 words.)
