The Development Award for an Outstanding Fundraising Achievement – Entry Form

Our judges would like you to tell them the story of the fundraising activity undertaken in your school during 2023-24; share your pride in where you work and explain why your income-generating activity has had a material impact on the school community. Describe some of your biggest fundraising achievements (but please avoid lists!).

These are the key questions to answer in your entry: please make sure your entry focuses on your fundraising activities rather than on the wider life of the school.

  • Why do you think your school’s fundraising activities are special? Tell us about your development programme’s remit, purpose and reach and, in particular, how you work to support wider access to the benefits of an independent education. What is it about your school’s development programme which makes it stand out from other schools? What are your school’s fundraising successes and achievements which make it worthy of this award? (Circa 200 words)
  • What were the particular development challenges you confronted in 2023-24? Tell us how you addressed them and helped to secure the school’s long term goals? Tell us about any fundraising initiatives which the school undertook this year of which you are particularly proud.   (Circa 150 words)
  • What is the impact of your fundraising programme? How do you think the programme has contributed to the life of the school and enhanced the student experience?  (Circa 150 words.)
