This award is for a new initiative which has materially altered and changed the winning school.

The entry should particularly:

• Describe why – and how – the new initiative narrated was genuinely innovative and a signal moment in the life of the school.
• Demonstrate that the origin of the innovative project, initiative or action described was embedded in an awareness of the school community’s evolving needs
• Demonstrate the advantage that being an independent school provides when undertaking such initiatives
• Demonstrate how the collective student experience has been enriched over the past year by the initiative described
• Present a picture of life at the school which communicates a sense of the essential values and energy of the school community.
• Schools are required to state their official inspection status at the time the nomination is submitted.
